Sunday 14th September
With Ali, Chris and Clare
Flight from LHR terminal 5
Arrived in Kef about 2, picked up ford focus from 1st ace cars.
Arrived at Villa, offloaded bags and straight for Lidl.
Monday
Drove into Argostili for a wander, back at Villa for the afternoon for chill out. Spotted turtles at Agistoli.
Just before dusk drive down to Agios Thomas for drinks.
Chris very picky/grumpy.
Tuesday
Went for a quick run.
Chris again grumpy in the morning.
Photoshoot day, spent most of the day capturing various parts.
Lovely chicken salad by Ali & Chris.
Wednesday
Up and out just after 9, drove straight to fiskardo which was nice, lovely lunch there.
Stopped off at Myrtos beach for a dip, water very warm and beautiful, however there was a slick which arrived as we were there which spoilt it a bit.
On the way back had an alert about wildfires which are about 5km away at metaxata near the airport. Lots of aerial activity and fire engines.
Weather so far has been amazing but today the wind seemed stronger than usual.
Thursday
Brief pop into Argostili for coffee and a quick mooch, back lunchtime and straight into some photography and avata fly throughs which seemed to go well.
Rest of the afternoon was spent in the pool.
Had booked for 6pm into the Olive Lounge after a recommendation by Loukia, lovely location by the castle and a lovely meal. My seabass was cooked perfectly.
Back to the villa for more uno.
Friday
Walk down to Saint Thomas before breakfast. Drove to Poros, pretty little village with a walk to the harbour, stopped for the biggest ice cream with waffles ever.
Drove back after a trip to Lidl.
Pool fun with pool basketball!
Evening prawn salad which was delicious.
More UNO.
Saturday
Lazy morning, drove to the castle for a wander then straight to Argostoli for coffee and ice cream.
Back to the villa for lunch and chill time.
When we arrived another couple were at the door, turns out they got the wrong villa!
Lounge around the pool, a big children’s party started next door which was noisy, luckily we were going out for dinner, revisiting Denis at Trapezaki. Lovely setting, food was nice but the service was terrible and we were forgotten about after the main course. Tired of waiting we grabbed the bill and had a night cap before bed.
Sunday
Woke up to a symphony of goat bells, cockerels, church bells and howling dogs! Just a chill out morning and left for the airport at around 11:30, slight delay in taking off from EFL but no dramas.
