It was Emma and Tony’s wedding celebration down in deepest darkest Dorset with a party on the Saturday night.

Myself, Gilly, Derek and Clare travelled down reasonably early to our accommodation, Golden Acres in Eype. A lovely enclosed holiday park with lodges, close to the sea. Ali and Chris also came down and the 4 of us shared a lodge while Dellboy and Clare shared the special romance lodge. All dogs came with both parties.

Party was a great fun evening with lots of food and dancing. Arrived back at the lodge to find the dogs had their own party, with all the doggy treats and cup cakes devoured, to rub salt into the wounds, they had eaten the doggy treats on our bed, piddled on the floor and created a lot of mess. It was fairly easy to locate the suspects as Poppy and Maisy were tucked up in their crate!

Sunday morning we walked into West Bay, timed to perfection to coincide with the Remberance Day Celebrations. Lovely seaside town with quirky shops and a lovely coffee shop. We headed back but decided to go the flatter route back along the coast, however this meant negotiating a very rocky/slippery sea defence and we were all relieved to get over that onto the beach.

For the evening we had an Indian takeaway delivered and played cards.

Monday morning we did a different walk along the coastal hills, before setting off for home. Stopped at a lovely pub in Burley for pie and chips before getting home late afternoon.
