Philips final race of the season was on his favourite Cutmill course, after a few laps things were looking good as he and three other riders gained 1′ 30″ over the peloton.
Unfortunately they were eventually caught by the bunch and to make matters worse one of Phil’s spokes snapped forcing him to pull out of the race.
Looked strong throughout the race and it goes down as an “if only” race.
