Tom had put together a running event to complete the marathon for Matt Campbell, the meeting point was Shadwell Station and approximately 100 runners turned up along with Sky News and a Daily Mail photographer. I’d checked out the route beforehand and the run started close to where Matt had collapsed, the day was very cold.

Chris had sorted a few tee-shirts and Peta-print had kindly printed us 140 race numbers.

The run went well with lots of support and it was very special to be on The Mall clapping home the runners and walkers.

Tom had to walk because of his knee injury and we all went to the Greenwood in Victoria for a drink and a chat.

14th May 2018 – Matt was layed to rest today in his home town in the Lake District, RIP!
