It’s been a busy summer not just fun but work as well, Goodwood Minerva Temple being the pick of the bunch.

Back to fun things;

Festival of Speed;

We went on the Friday and it was great fun, lots of fast cars, red arrows, nice food, rally cars. Nice weather made for an enjoyable day.

Abba Voyage;

Sunday 21st July – We got Ali some tickets for her 60th birthday for the 3d concert at the Abba Arena in Stratford. We also booked a hotel for the night at the Hilton right by Westfields shopping centre. Catching the train up with Ali & Chris we arrived at the hotel around mid-day, we couldn’t check-in but instead went for a walk around the shopping centre plus a bit of the Olympic Park. The show was early and after a hic-up with checking in due to the ‘crowdstrike’ saga we arrived at the venue in plenty of time. The show was impressive with the incredible technology, it really did feel like at times that they were in the room! After the Abba music fest we stopped for a very nice italian meal, marred only by the expensive bill, £200 for 4 including a £23 service charge! But it was good.

Monday morning – we checked out but left our luggage at the hotel, I had to go to field check a site in Marylebone, so we all got on the tube. I went to site and Gilly went shopping. We all reconvened at Oxford Circus and then back to Bond Street where we headed to Paddington to do the Little Venice to Camden walk. Paddington Station was very cute.

The walk was along the canal, it was a warm day and this was very pleasant, stopping at Camden Town.

Back to the hotel for a drink and then headed home. Hilton Hotel was very good.

Oh and by the way, we had mice in the garden, caught 3 which were driven up to Hillbrow and released!
