It’s been awhile since we stayed in London, the main reason for doing this was that Tom had invited us for a meal at Bob Bob Ricard with him & Tuva, Ali & Chris were also invited.
We booked a night at the Picadilly Hotel on Shaftesbury Avenue, a mere 7 minute walk from Bob Bob.
Caught the train up and after meeting Tom for coffee, walked to the hotel. Checked in and then went for a tour of the shops, London is busier but still nowhere near as busy pre-covid.
The meal was excellent, with a 3 tier caviar dish, starter main and dessert. Also plenty of champagne and wine!
Wednesday 14th July
A weird covid takeaway breakfast in our room and we set off for a walking tour which consisted of Covent Garden, Embankment, Golden Hinde, Borough Market, Monument, London Bridge to catch the Uber Boat to Westminster, St James’s Park, Soho and cocktails in Carnaby Street! Picked the cases up and another walk back to the station. Knackered!!
