Race 4 Life
Gilly, Alison and Clare raised a lot of money for cancer research, Gilly who was injured at the time walked and jogged round in this popular event.
Cycling
Phil started off in this 2nd/3rd cat race between Dorking and Box Hill extremely well, getting into a break with 2 other riders for most of the race, unfortunately the course was fairly flat and they were caught with just over a lap to go. Pushing to the extreme Phils “lucky” tag he got caught up in trouble on the home straight with a rider being pushed into his side, luckily Phil managed to stay on his bike but the damage to his bike was extreme with a cracked carbon frame and a damaged rear wheel! Fortunately Cannondale have been amazingly good and taken the old one back and replaced it with an even better one!
