Long live the King!
Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday 8th September 2022, I was working at home and had my suspicions that something was going on.
Very sad but now we have a new King, Charles III to be precise.
This has dominated the news since and for the foreseeable future as the funeral is in a weeks time, Monday 19th September at Westminster Abbey.
We went up to London on Sunday 11th Sept with Ali & Chris to visit Buckingham Palace to pay our respects, unfortunately thousands of people had the same idea and we had to abandon our first attempt, went back later in the day and after a lot of queueing was successful, nice to see all the flowers and well wishes.
A lot of walking, met up with Ben & Brendan and went for beer afterwards followed by a MacDonalds!
