Two a3crg teams travelled over to Bishops Cannings in Wiltshire on this cold but bright Sunday morning, teams as follows;
“A” team – Phil, Seb & Paddy
“B” team – Me, John H & Trevor
Myself and the remaining “B” teamers had a pretty good ride, although John struggled a bit on the hills he made up for it on the downhills. Most of the time we stayed together and for once I felt fairly comfortable. Finished in a 1:01 holding off our “A” team who started 6 minutes behind, for some reason we only picked up prize money for 2nd Vets team, although we were actually the 1st Vet team?!
The “A” team had a much stronger ride with Paddy doing only a few turns and getting dropped on the hills. Even so they finished in a 55 ish but 2 minutes behind the winning VC St. Raphael team, still a cracking ride and picking up 2nd place prize money on their first ride on the course.
