Myself and Phil both started off the cycle racing season today with timetrials, myself at Portsdown Hill and Phil right on his doorstep in Dorking, mine was hilly but Phil’s was even hillier.
I entered the road bike category as per the sporting TT series and was fairly unsure of how this was going to go as training had been mixed, in fact yesterdays pre-race ride consisted of me coughing most of the way round, luckily my lungs had cleared a bit today and the ride was respectable but not outstanding.
50:41 in 22nd place, just in front of Paddy!
Phil was 19th riding for a3crg in 44:59 just behind Henry, Rob Sharland won and broke the course record.
