Short trip down to South Wales for the end of August bank holiday, first long trip in the beamer, with dogs and Clare.

Stayed at the Broadway Country House hotel in Laugharne.

Arrived on the Saturday and it was straight down to Saundersfoot for a wander, back to the hotel for a freshen up and in the evening we had dinner at The Mulberry in Saundersfoot, which was very very nice.

Sunday after a fab breakfast we walked into Laugharne via the Dylan Thomas’ birthday walk, which was ever was breathtaking, especially as the tide was out. We stopped for coffee and cake, then myself and Gilly went back for the car and then headed into Tenby.

Made it back to the Mulberry in Saundersfoot for an early dinner Sunday roast, then back to the hotel we played trivial pursuit and drank pressecco.

Bank holiday Monday, after breakfast we headed home, only to be greeted with extreme traffic, it seems a mass exodus out of Wales. We stuck at it but diverted through Devizes where we stopped for cake at the tea room by the Avon Canal, the number of locks were staggering.

Home early evening.
