Following the recent torrential down pours, this years Milburys was dry and at times even warm. This was Phil’s first race for a few weeks following illness, although expectations were high the reality was that it was going to be a tough day.
20th in the prologue and finishing in the main bunch in the main race was very respectable, a lot of riders pulled out in the main race due to the high pace.
